Biography
Francesco is a medical physician, specialist in Immunohematology with a particular interests in cellular processing and manipulation. He took his degree "summa cum laude" in Medicine at the University “La Sapienza†in Rome in April 1994 and currently he is working in Cryolab as Medical Director and in University of Rome Tor Vergata where is Aggregate professor in Immunology, Immunohematology and Cellular Therapy. He also worked as Facility Director in Pediatric Hospital Bambino Gesù. Its research activities are based on the study of hematopoietic stem cells transplant, cellular manipulations in haploidentical transplant and on the organization of biobanks. Additionally, Francesco has devised and implemented quality Plans and international excellence standards for continuous improvement in the stem cell processing laboratory. Since 2009 he was appointed as inspector for the Joint Accreditation Committee - International Society for Cellular Therapy & European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation."
