Hematopathology

The Hematopathology is a division that provides specialized diagnostic evaluations of malignant and non-malignant disorders of blood, bone marrow, and lymphoid organs. Which involves the study of disorders affecting blood cells and their production. Division faculty have strong expertise in the diagnosis of leukemia and lymphoma.

 The division serves both Mayo Clinic physicians and Mayo Medical Laboratories clients through optimal testing and interpreting results to provide accurate diagnoses and relevant prognostic information. The Tests are used to detect hematologic diseases, including lymphomas, leukemias, plasma cell dyscrasias, hemoglobinopathies, red blood cell enzyme deficiencies, bleeding diatheses and hypercoagulable states.
